Dr. Wheeler is proud to offer aesthetic vaginal surgery and has performed these services for over 25 years.  Having performed more than 5000 vaginal procedures including labial reductions, vaginal tightening and vaginal rejuvenation procedures, Dr. Wheeler is pleased to offer these services.  There are numerous reasons why women may choose to have these procedures done.  Labiaplasty can help reduce labial hypertrophy (overgrowth) of either the labia minora or majora or the clitoral hood.  In addition, childbirth may cause significant change in the anatomy of the woman’s vulva or vaginal opening which she may want corrected later in life.   These conditions may cause women to be self-conscious, especially in certain garments or with their partners. Moreover, women may suffer from chronic irritations of her external genitalia from some of these conditions.  Numerous names have been given to these procedures including labiaplasty, vaginal rejuvenation, vaginoplasty or cosmetic labial reduction as well as others.  Given the sensitivity of these tissues and the importance in a woman’s sexual function, it is very important that a properly trained surgeon in vaginal reconstruction and corrections of the vulva and vagina perform these surgeries. Dr. Wheeler has completed four years of residency training and has 25 years experience in performing vaginal surgery, labiaplasty and vaginal rejuvenation with great compassion and satisfaction for his patients.  

In Office Aesthetic Procedures

Many of these procedures including labiaplasty, vaginal tightening and/or hymeneal reconstruction can be performed in the office under local anesthetics to help reduce anesthetic risks as well as the cost of the operating room. In the event that the patient requires further surgery including correction of previous vaginal injuries such as cystocele, rectocele and stress urinary incontinence, these corrections can be performed in the operating room.
