We are pleased to offer you comprehensive obstetrical care including care for the medical complications that may arise in a high-risk pregnancy. Through our affiliations with Hoag, we are capable of providing additional prenatal services including: perinatal and genetic referrals, medical consultations, exercise and nutrition counseling, prepared childbirth classes and lactation instruction, all in a personal setting.
We will discuss your progress with you during our visits and encourage questions from you and your partner. Dr. Wheeler is available after hours for emergencies and deliveries through our after hours Exchange. The Exchange can be reached by dialing our regular office number and following the prompts. An equally qualified colleague may cover for Dr. Wheeler when he is unavailable.
Hoag Hospital
Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian offers a highly sophisticated Perinatal Unit including elegant LDR’s (Labor, Delivery and Recovering rooms), 24-hour in-house anesthesia coverage, a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and highly qualified Neonatologists, Perinatologists, and Laborists. Maternity services will assist you with lactation consultations, assistance in newborn care and attention to your healthcare needs. Our office will provide information regarding pre-registration and access to those services.
